Isabella May Ramsey (born 2003) is an English actress. She is known for her starring role as the young noblewoman Lyanna Mormont in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (2016–2019) and her subsequent television roles as Mildred Hubble in the 2017 CBBC series The Worst Witch, voice of the main character ofNetflix.Animated series Hilda (2018-present) and Jane Gray in the 2022 Starz drama Becoming Elizabeth.
She co-starred in the 2022 historical comedy Catherine Called Birdy and currently plays Ellie on the HBO drama series The Last of Us (2023-present).
Early Life.
Isabella May Ramsey was born in Nottingham in September 2003. She was educated online at Inter High School.As a hobby,she began acting at the age of four at the Stage coach Theater Arts branch in Lough borough, which she attended for seven years. Ramsey then went to seminary television and began auditioning for professional roles.
Career.
From 2016 to 2019, Ramsey portrayed Lyanna Mormont on the HBO television series Game of Thrones. This role is Ramsey’s first credited role. After her first appearance in The Broken Man(Season 6, Episode 7), fans and critics alike noted that Ramsey was an outstanding actor whoem bodied her character’s no-nonsense leadership style.That reaction was repeated after her appearance in the season finale,when The Hollywood Reporter dubbed her the” Star of Season6.” Ramsey continued the role in series#039; the seventh and eighth seasons.
Personal Life.
Ramsey identifies as non-binary and indifferent to the pronouns used for her, telling the New York Times, “I’m just one person. Being gender specific isn’t something I particularly like, but when it comes to pronouns I don’t really care. Ramsey describes herself as a Christian and says her faith has helped her battle with anorexia. In 2020, she ran a YouTube channel and related Instagram account called United Hope, where she shared her faith. Ramsey plays guitar and sings.

Bella Ramsey wrote an encouraging message on Transgender Awareness Day on Friday, March31st.The19-year-old The Last of Us star shared a childhood photo on Twitter to mark the occasion. “Happy TDOV to this little guy!” “I didn’t recognize the non-binary word in this photo. But I knew what it meant.Actually. Because I always have been and always will be,” Ramsey wrote in the letter.
