Orange Squash is a melody by the american elective musical crew R.E.M. It was delivered as the main single from the band 6th studio collection Green in 1988. Despite reaching number one as a promotional single on both the mainstream and modern rock tracks where at the time it had the record for longest stay at number one with eight weeks beating U2 it was not commercially released in the United States.
The band promoted the song by making their first appearance on top of the pops where it reached number 28 on the UK singles chart making it the band highest chart hit at the time. The band won its first VMA for best post modern video for the song video which was directed by Matt Mahurin.
Additionally Orange Crush was the category first winner. The band is not at all featured in the black and white only video. The song was included on the Warner Bros. Records compilation titled in time by R.E.M. The best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 out of 2003 and a live form shows up on the R.E.M.
